Giants down Panthers, 31-18
The New York Giants finally pulled away from the Carolina Panthers for a 31-18 win at their new stadium.
Quarterback Eli Manning tossed three touchdown passes, all of them to wide receiver Hakeem Nicks.
Manning did also toss three interceptions, allowing the Panthers to hang around until the second half.
The Giants did lose tight end Kevin Boss to a serious injury and he might miss the rest of the season.
Things get decidedly tougher for the Giants next week when they head on the road to face the Indianapolis Colts.
