Giants roll past Texans, 34-10

The New York Giants continued their recent resurgence with a 34-10 victory over the Houston Texans.

Quarterback Eli Manning had a big day, tossing three touchdown passes and coming up just short of 300 yards.

Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks was one of the reasons Manning had such a solid day, catching two touchdown passes.

The defense took care of the rest, becoming the latest team to slow down Houston’s prolific offense. ( Read More…)

Giants down Panthers, 31-18

The New York Giants finally pulled away from the Carolina Panthers for a 31-18 win at their new stadium.

Quarterback Eli Manning tossed three touchdown passes, all of them to wide receiver Hakeem Nicks.

Manning did also toss three interceptions, allowing the Panthers to hang around until the second half.

The Giants did lose tight end Kevin Boss to a serious injury and he might miss the rest of the season. ( Read More…)

Manning gets stitches in head

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning suffered a nasty blow to the head that required 12 stitches.

Manning and running back Brandon Jacobs collided during the team’s preseason opener against the New York Jets, throwing off the play.

His helmet was partially dislodged, and Manning was then blindsided by a defender, which threw his helmet from his head.

The impact of the hit then sent Manning face first into a defender, who opened up a big gash on his forehead. ( Read More…)

Pierce announces retirement

Former New York Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce has announced his retirement from the NFL.

Pierce was cut from the Giants back in February as he tried to rebound from a serious injury.

He will start working for ESPN and have a role in shows such as NFL Live and SportsCenter. ( Read More…)
